Golden (Voice) Brown, Blondie Drummer and Cute Bassist: Hugh Cornwell at the Red Devil

At tonight’s sold-out show by honey-voiced (for punk rock) former Stranglers lead singer Hugh Cornwell, I was just one middle-aged woman among many who came of age in that fleeting post-punk, pre-Nirvana moment in time and discovered the Stranglers on the used cassettes shelf of Rasputin’s her freshman year in college.
